About the Event
Instructor and Peer Support Foundation President Jeremy Sprague for a 4-days of Peer Support training. This training is a private training for the Bismarck Police Department. The 7-hours Basic Peer Support will discuss the psychology of the law enforcement officer throughout their career and how they are emotionally and physically affected by hypervigilance both short and long-term. It reviews basic self-care techniques for first responders. The training reviews basic peer support concepts, philosophy, and function. It reviews peer support best practices and policies from around the country. It discusses how a proactive peer support program can be helpful to first responders.
