The election of new board members and appointment of Advisory Committee members will take place on September 20, 2024 at the Peer Support Conference in West Des Moines, Iowa.  Please fill out the following form if you are interested in serving on the board or the committee.  If you cannot attend the conference, you will be contacted following the board meeting about the results.

Organization

  1. EXECUTIVE BOARD

    1. The board members of the Foundation shall be active members and shall be tasked with the responsibility of peer support at the time of their election or appointment.​

    2. In order to be eligible for election to the Executive Board, one must be a member in good standing within the Peer Support Foundation.

    3. The Executive Board shall consist of the following and hold terms of office for two (2) years: The Board will consist of 5 directors serving 2-year terms each. The five directors will be elected every other year.

      1. President

      2. Vice President

      3. Secretary

      4. Treasurer

      5. Board Member

    4. The offices of President and Secretary shall be elected on even-numbered years.  The office of Vice President, Treasurer, and general Board Member shall be elected on odd-numbered years.

    5. The Executive offices of the Foundation is hereby located wherever the current President is employed, resides, or a location convenient to him/her. The Executive Board is hereby granted full power of authority to change said principal office from one location to another within the United States.

    6. In order to be eligible for election to the position of President, one must have served on a previous board.

 

ADVISORY COMMITTEE

  1. The members of the Advisory Committee shall be active members tasked with the responsibility of peer support at the time of appointment. The Advisory Committee members are part of the organization as volunteer members to assist in conference planning, administrative tasks, etc. They do not have voting powers.

  2. Any past Executive Board member will have a one year position on the Advisory Committee upon completion of his/her term of office.

  3. The advisory committee members will be appointed by the board each year from a list of members requesting to participate, at or as soon as possible after the annual training conference

  4. The advisory committee expectations shall be, but not limited to;

  5. Writing newsletter articles

  6. Assisting with conference preparation

  7. Being an active participant on committees

  8. Assisting at the conference and /or trainings
