About the Event
All,
West Des Moines Police will be hosting the first quarterly Central Iowa Regional Peer Support Meeting on Friday, October 29 from 1300-1500. The meeting will be held at the WDMPD at 250 Mills Civic Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50265.
This meeting is for all public safety peer support team coordinators for their designee from the central Iowa region. The purpose of this meeting is to coordinate peer support efforts among central Iowa public safety peer support teams.
The meeting agenda will be as follows:
- Team coordinators introductions
- Legal update on 622.10
- Discussion of recent peer support insights
- Open discussion of different peer support practices from around the metro.
I hope to see all of you there. My goal is that this will help coordinate our efforts, allow us to learn from each other, and create a network of central Iowa peers. I foresee this be a model for other regional groups around the state.
Please RSVP if you plan on attending.
Thanks
