About the Event
This 1-day training is designed for regional Iowa Line of Duty Death Response Teams comprised of executive leadership of first responder agencies. This training will be one of four trainings that will be located around the state of Iowa. Please register for a location close to your region. The training will cover the role of the Regional LODD Response Teams and review the Iowa Field Operations Guide for first responder executives faced with managing LODDs. The training will also consist of a tabletop exercise to assist participants in using the Field Operations Guide. Training moderators include Chief Chris Scott of the West Des Moines Police Department and representatives from the Iowa Police Chief Association, Iowa Sheriff's and Deputies Association, Iowa Department of Public Safety, Iowa COPS, Iowa Peer Support Foundation, and others. Lunch will be provided by the Peer Support Foundation.
Please park on the north or west side of the building and enter the training location on the east of the building on the north or south entrances.
