About the Event
The Peer Support Foundation is proud to host addiction recovery meetings exclusively tailored for First Responders. These gatherings are facilitated by either trained mental health counselors or peers trained in the SMART Recovery model. Serving as a secure haven, these meetings offer unwavering support to first responders navigating the complexities of addiction recovery or embarking on the path to a healthier, more fulfilling life. It's a space where understanding, empathy, and practical guidance converge to empower individuals in their journey toward lasting wellness and resilience.
All forms of addiction are welcome in our addiction recovery meetings for First Responders. Whether it's substance abuse, alcohol addiction, gambling addiction, or any other form of addictive behavior, our dedicated team of mental health counselors and trained peers are here to provide support, guidance, and encouragement every step of the way. No matter the challenge, we believe in fostering an inclusive environment where individuals can find solace, understanding, and the resources they need to overcome addiction and reclaim their lives.
REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED. Just show up!
We are grateful to the Lutheran Church of Hope-Waukee for providing the space. We are immensely thankful to Athene for their generous donation to make this program possible.
